My visit to Nassau, The Bahamas

After 2 1/2 years I returned to Nassau to visit and attend the 10th Season of Shakespeare in Paradise. I also checked old friends and visited art everywhere! The murals by June Collie top are on the property of the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas; the mural about slavery by Joyon Smith is on the exterior wall of the Pompey Museum downtown. At the Current Gallery I visited artists in residence Toby Lunn and Steffon Grant. At the Baha Mar Convention Center I saw their newly installed permanent collection. I visited the Dundas Center for the Performing Arts and saw nearly every show of the season and took a photo of the poster gallery of some of the 50+ posters I've art directed and (with artwork by local artists) over he 10 years of theater festival. I visited my friend Pam Burnside of Doogalik Gallery and Kim Smith at A Place for Art. To top it off, I stayed in a delightful airbnb in downtown Nassau.
